PRESENTIAL SERVICES

Reading room

Service that allows our users direct access to consult bibliographic and hemerographic material, within the library environments during office hours.

Internal Users

Undergraduate and postgraduate students, professors, researchers, administrative staff.

Conditions:

  • This service is personal and non-transferable.
  • Internal users must identify themselves with their card, exceptionally they may present their ID.

Access:

  • Books and reference books from the general collection.
  • Magazine and newspapers.
  • Theses and research papers. *
  • Theses and research papers. *

* Access and use restrictions apply to groups of users, in accordance with what is indicated in our library regulations.

Procedure:

  • Identify the bibliographic material you wish to consult in our online catalogue.
  • Find the bibliographic material on the open shelf.
  • Once the consultation of books and/or magazines has been completed, they must be returned in the return carts located next to the shelves
  • If the source to be consulted has access restrictions, the user must go to the service module. Once the consultation is finished, it must be handed over to the care staff

If the user requires assistance to carry out the indicated procedures, they can go to the service module and request assistance from the service personnel.

External users

Alumni and graduates.

Affiliates (only Graduate Library) and students of ASCIBP associated schools (only Undergraduate Library).

Conditions:

  • This service is personal and non-transferable.
  • External users must identify themselves (ID card, graduate card, etc.) when entering the library.

Access:

  • Books and reference books from the general collection.
  • Magazine and newspapers.
  • Theses and research papers. *
  • Reports and market studies.*

* Access and use restrictions apply to groups of users, in accordance with what is indicated in our library regulations.

Procedure:

  • Identify the bibliographic material you wish to consult in our online catalogue.
  • Find the library material on the open shelf.
  • Once the consultation of books and / or magazines has been completed, they must be returned in the return carts located next to the shelves.
  • If the source to be consulted has access restrictions, the user must go to the service module to verify if they have access to said bibliographic material. If you have access, once the consultation is finished it must be handed over to the care staff. 

If the user requires assistance to carry out the indicated procedures, they can go to the service module and request assistance from the service personnel.
 

Home loan

Service that allows internal users to take home bibliographic material (books and documents) as a loan for a determined period.
 

The home loan is personal and non-transferable for members of the UESAN

community and must not exceed the number of volumes allowed and loan duration according to the following table.

Internal users

Undergraduate and postgraduate students, professors, researchers, administrative staff.

Conditions:

  • This service is personal and non-transferable.
  • Internal users must identify themselves with the card. Exceptionally you can present your ID.
  • During the week of exams in Undergraduate majors, the duration of the loan in the Undergraduate Library is reduced to one day.
  • The Undergraduate Library applies lending restrictions only for the first copies of texts considered as compulsory reading.

Procedure:

  • Identify the bibliographic material you wish to consult in our online catalogue.
  • Find the bibliographic material on the open shelf.
  • Approach the service module with your card and present it together with the material you wish to have on loan.
  • Once the permit is validated and the loan is registered, the service personnel will return the book and document delivered, indicating the term of the loan granted.

Renewal of bibliographic material

Service that consists of extending the loan period of bibliographic material (books and documents). The user may carry out the renewal of the bibliographic material on loan independently or with the assistance of the service personnel.

Internal users

Undergraduate and postgraduate students, professors, researchers, administrative staff.

Conditions:

  • This service is personal and non-transferable.

  • The renewal cannot be made if the item has been reserved by another user.

  • It cannot be renewed after the expiration of the loan date.

  • For face-to-face renewal, request assistance from the Circulation and Loan staff during library opening hours.

  • It may be renewed a maximum of two times for each borrowed copy. Bear in mind that the Circulation and Loan staff, depending on the demand or need for bibliographic material, may exceptionally extend or reduce the number or period of renewals.

Reserve of bibliográphic material

Service consisting of the reservation of bibliographic material (books and documents). Which is already on loan. The user will be able to make the reservation of the bibliographic material on loan independently or with the assistance of the service personnel.

 internal users:

Undergraduate and postgraduate students, professors, researchers, collaborators, administrative staff.

Conditions:

  • This service is personal and non-transferable.
  • The user will only be able to make reservations of copies according to the maximum number of copies that he is allowed to make for loan at home.
  • The user who has a valid sanction will not be able to access this service until the end of his sanction.
  • When the reserved material is available, the user will be notified via email of the place, date and time limit for its collection; which will usually be the next business day, within the library's opening hours
  • For in-person reservations, you must request assistance from the service personnel within the corresponding library's opening hours. Also in the case that requires canceling a reservation.

Information Services for Alumi (SIEx)


ESAN/Cendoc offers access to its resources and information services to alumni of UESAN courses and postgraduate programs.

At no cost and through a direct access that leads to the ESAN/Cendoc website, the former student will be able to consult the online catalog, obtain information on topics of administration, economics, finance, marketing and related to the careers or programs designed by the university. 

For the personal visit to the campus, it will be carried out after coordination with the library area through your email library@esan.edu.pe.
