Yes, in order to enter our libraries it is necessary for the users to identify themselves through their virtual ID (from the institutional mobile application), their student card or a physical ID.

• There is not an exclusive library card in existence for any of our libraries. If the user wishes to access a library service, they must use their virtual ID (institucional app), student ID or normal ID.

Yes, you may renew your loan yourself up to two times, as long as the borrowed book is not overdue or reserved by another user. Please, review the guide for online reneal on the following link.

No, book loans are personal and non-transferable. However, another user can return the book in your place.

You must go to the Circulation desk of the library where you borrowed the book, and tell the library staff that you wish to return the book.

You can view information and records about your loans in the libraries by logging into the online catalogue. Go to the “my account” section, where you will find detailed information about the status of your book loans, your current or past reservations and more.

According to our regulations, the user will receive a penalty and/or fine.

The user will pay for the estimated value of the book plus the cost of technical processing and, if applicable, the corresponding penalty or fine, as stipulated in our regulations.

You must bring the book to the library. The library staff will assess the extent of the damage or deterioration. Based on this assessment, the book could be restored or replaced. You will be informed of the procedure to follow.

Yes, library materials may be photocopied, but following their respective restrictions established by Copyright Law or the Library Regulations. To do so, you must go to the Circulation desk with your ID card and request authorization from the staff. The staff will register the request and indicate the time allowed for reproduction.

Users may only photocopy library materials at the concessionaire located within the campus.

Access to library computers is open, no reservation or prior authorization is required.

You may search for electronic information resources in the databases, electronic journals, e-books, etc. You may perform simple tasks and homeworks. Printed theses may be consulted by faculty members and graduate students from Doctoral, Masters, PADE, and PAE programs, exclusively within the library premises. Home lending and photocopying are not permitted. Additionally, ESAN University has an Institutional Repository where some theses are available in full-text digital format, approximately from 2020 to the present.

Printed theses can be located by searching the online catalog or the Virtual Library (Discovery Tool), entering the subject, title, or author and applying the appropriate filters. Then, you must go to the Circulation Desk to request access.

Digital theses can be accessed through the ESAN Institutional Repository by entering search terms and applying filters.
