RESEARH ASSISTANCE
ESAN/Cendoc offers a series of services aimed at supporting the development and management of academic research. These services range from training in informational skills to access and locate relevant information, to guidance in the use of specialized tools that facilitate the teaching-learning and research process.
The services are provided by specialized library staff and include the following:
Development of information skills
Through in-person or virtual training sessions, researchers are guided in the use of available research tools. These sessions allow them to identify their information needs, search for, evaluate, organize, and critically analyze relevant sources, thus supporting the proper development of the research process and the generation of new knowledge.
Información services oriented to the research process
In coordination with the librarian, the researcher develops search strategies in accordance with the topic and the different stages of their research. This collaborative work allows adapting searches according to the information needs at each phase of the process, using both the resources subscribed by ESAN University and open access sources, including scientific databases, academic search engines, and other specialized resources. It is suggested to review the infoGuide of Resources for research.
Identity management support services
The librarian guides the researcher in creating and strengthening their digital academic identity, supporting them in the use of author identifiers and standards that allow for greater visibility of their research results on academic networks and platforms. Likewise, it provides guidance for the registration and use of researcher platforms, both national and international, according to their area of specialization.
